Now, as a result, his show at the Majestic Theater in San Antonio, Texas, has been postponed. However, his team expects he will be able to return and continue his tour.
A statement released by his manager, Michael Vrionis, clarified the situation. "Mr. Santana was at the Majestic Theater in San Antonio, Texas, preparing for tonight's show when he experienced an event that was determined to be dehydration. Out of an abundance of caution and for the health of Mr. Santana, the decision to postpone the show was the most prudent course of action. He is doing well and is looking forward to coming back to San Antonio soon as well as continuing his US Tour."
Santana had been forgetting to stay hydrated. But, at 77 years old, it's amazing he is still touring. His music is so full of energy. But he doesn't let his age slow him down. His eager fans will see him up on stage soon enough.
Santana Still Stunning With Successful Tours
Santana has been wowing crowds of people with his Latin rock blues fusion since 1965. Apart from his slight medical emergency today, he's hardly faltered. Thousands of fans around the world have been given the pleasure of one of his shows.
He is clearly a man who loves his craft. A little dehydration isn't going to slow him down. His previous show on the tour was in Albuquerque, New Mexico. It was in the wind and rain, but that didn't stop Santana from bringing energy to his performance.
