Morgan Wallen "Not Super Friendly" On Set, Refused To Do 'SNL' Set: Report

The internet has been ablaze ever since Morgan Wallen darted offstage during the end credits of Saturday Night Live (SNL). To add fuel to the fire, an insider told Page Six that the 31-year-old country singer was "not super friendly" on set.

It's customary for the host and music guest to mingle with the SNL cast as credits roll. Instead, Morgan Wallen said a quick goodbye to host Mikey Madison before awkwardly walking off-camera. This sparked a meme from an SNL writer when Wallen wrote "Get Me Back To God's Country" on his Instagram Story.

Now, this insider has stirred the pot even more, even when other sources were trying to downplay it. Allegedly, the singer refused to star in a sketch for his SNL episode, prompting Joe Jonas to take his place at the last minute.

"[Morgan] was asked but declined, so they got Joe instead," the source told Page Six. "They had hopes he would do the pre-tape and perhaps more, but no joy." The insider claims that Wallen did what the writers asked of him, but that was about it.

On top of that, the source alleged that the Whiskey Glasses singer wasn't very friendly. They also claimed that Wallen pulled the same move during rehearsals. Due to how abrupt and sudden it was, Wallen's walk-off went viral online.

The outlet also alleges that Wallen skipped out on the afterparty, instead leaving on a private jet early Sunday. Wallen's appearance on SNL was to promote his upcoming album I'm The Problem. I guess it does seem like Wallen is the problem here, especially with all his controversies.

If you didn't already know, Wallen threw a chair off the roof of a bar and nearly hit two police officers. This left him with three charges of felony reckless endangerment and one count of misdemeanor disorderly conduct.

There's still a lot we may not know about Wallen's SNL controversy, but it seems there's no bad blood. NBC sources revealed to TMZ that they would welcome back Wallen on the show anytime. Even if his exit left a bad taste in people's mouths, at least the drama gets viewers to keep up with SNL episodes.
