This Country Singer Uses Elmer's Glue to Maintain His Mustache

People go to great lengths to maintain their facial hair. If you've ever seen a majestic looking beard that didn't look scraggly and unkempt, it took a lot of maintenance to pull it off. Beard cream, moisturizer, conditioner, proper wash, anything to keep it beautiful. The same goes for people with a mustache too. A newer country singer on the scene, Braxton Keith, has one hell of a 'stache, the way it curls up just right. How does he pull that off? He has to use some sort of special product. There's no way he just glues it together right? Right???

Recently, Braxton did a TikTok for CMT where he talks about how he properly caters to his facial hair. He mentions three products in particular, one of which still floors me. "First off, there's three different things that you can use to wax your mustache. Traditional mustache wax, balm like a hair blam, and then there's the old famous Elmer's Glue, okay," Keith admits.

Braxton Keith Says Glue is The Key for His Mustache Upkeep

Yes, according to Braxton, bypass the hair and shaving section at your local grocery store. Instead, go straight to the arts and crafts section and pick up the good ol' Elmer's. He gives a fairly reasonable explanation about how you can actually wash it out after you're done unlike traditional wax. You either get you that purple, fast drying Elmer's Glue stick that is water-soluble. Or you get you that hair balm, extra firm hold that's also water-soluble. You get you a little bit of that in the mustache that's gonna hold for a good 4 to 5 hours. That's all you need now, folks," Keith explains. And then get your face underneath that sink, give her a little rinse, and she's gonna come right out."

Still, it's hard to wrap your head around putting a stick of glue near your lips like it's chapstick. Regardless, the best advice Braxton can give for any aspiring mustache growers is to just leave it alone, You might be tempted to mess with it, but don't. "Don't touch it. Just leave it alone. That's my advice. Just leave it alone," Keith stresses. "You won't have any pimples or acne, and it won't be falling out. You'll be alright."
