It sure must be nice to be able to financially uproot your life and move to an entirely new country. Any commoner that's ever wanted to leave the U.S. is mostly likely stuck here for the long haul. We don't have much of another option. Fighting for home is the only thing you could really do. But people like Rosie O'Donnell have clearly made enough money where they can pick up and leave when they deem it fit. Apparently, she's got her reasons to leave, the political state of America being the prominent one.

Recently, O'Donnell posted a video on TikTok, where she confirms her and her daughter packed their bags to live in Ireland back in January. Currently, she's working to get her citizenship squared away in the country. Moreover, she explains that her grandparents inspired the destination in particular. Rosie loves the lifestyle so far and is glad she made the trek. "It's been pretty wonderful, I have to say. The people are so loving and so kind, so welcoming. And I'm very grateful," she says.
"I was never someone who thought I would move to another country, that's what I decided would be the best for myself and my 12-year-old child. And here we are."
Rosie O'Donnell Says The State of America Incentivized Her to Move Her Child Away to Ireland
Eventually, O'Donnell dishes on specifically why she completely uprooted her life. Ultimately, she shares her deep concerns on the state of the country, alluding to Donald Trump's presidency. Once those in power look to resolve such a clear disconnect in values, she might consider coming back for everyone she left behind. "You know, I'm happy. Clay is happy. I miss my other kids, I miss my friends," Rosie candidly says. "I miss many things about life there at home and I'm trying to find a home here in this beautiful country and when it is safe for all citizens to have equal rights there in America, that's when we will consider coming back."
O'Donnell ends the video to express her hopes for the future in America. Moreover, she leaves viewers with advice on how to tackle these anxious times.
"Protect your sanity is all I can say. Protect your sanity as much as you can, and try not to swim in the chaos if possible, but I know it's nearly impossible when you're there in the middle of it. I think about everyone every day and the United States of America. And I am hoping that we can turn things around, counting on you, all of you, to do what's right. And I think deep down inside, we all know what that is," Rosie concludes.

Political advice from a celebrity, what a shock. It's kind of embarrassing to like celebrities these days. I think I will start liking foreign celebrities, because apparently, they are much better.
