"It's been nine years today that Joey's been gone," Rory writes. "Every March at this exact time the daffodils begin blooming here on the farm - just in time for Indiana to pick and bring to her Mama's cross, as we think of and remember her..."

The two, who wed in 2002, came in third on the reality TV talent show, Can You Duet, which aired on CMT. Rory remained by Joey until the end, later recalling their final words to each other before she passed away.
"We repeated 'I love you' three times to each other," Feek remembers (via ABC). "It's the last line of a song I wrote years ago called 'Josephine,' an imaginary love story between a husband and wife."
"For most all of our marriage -- in the birthday, Valentine's Day, or anniversary cards we gave each other and before we went to bed -- we have always said the same thing," he adds.
Rory Feek's Family Life Now
Last July, Rory remarried, to Indiana's teacher, Rebecca. He announced the news on his website.
"Although I can honestly tell you that after losing Joey I wasn't sure it was even possible (actually I was fairly sure it wasn't), love has shown up in my life again," Rory writes. "Although in a quieter and gentler way than I knew before, it has come just the same. And it's been a wonderful thing ... Though we've known each other for a long while, and I've always thought highly of her, I never really knew her.
"But in the last year or so, as we began to spend more and more time together, outside of being Indy's school teacher and a part of our festival and farm, I was given the opportunity to learn who she really is and what she wants out of life," he continues. "And I've discovered a truly wonderful, kind, generous person who is beautiful on the inside and out."
Not all is going well in Rory's family, unfortunately. His two older daughters, Heidi and Hopie, whom he raised with Joey, are accusing Rory of keeping Indiana from them. Rory had custody of them after the end of his first marriage, to More recently, Hopie reveals that a DNA test shows he is not her biological father, although she was led to believe he was for most of her life.
