Garth Brooks Video Goes Viral After Trump And Zelenskyy Talks Break Down

A video of Garth Brooks asking Americans to help Ukraine has gone viral and is sparking outrage after the abysmal talks between Trump and Zelenskyy. Naturally, the video is missing vital context. There's nothing the internet loves more than misinformation.

Everyone knows and has strong opinions on the talks between Donald Trump and President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. Well, the lack thereof.

Since then, national opinion has largely shifted, and a video of Garth Brooks has started circulating again. In it, he pleads, alongside Trisha Yearwood, for Americans to "dig into their pockets" to help out Ukraine.

The only thing is, this video was taken three years ago and has been regurgitated again to spread outrage.

Brooks and Yearwood made this video in April, as part of the Stand Up For Ukraine campaign to raise funds for the country. Seeing the video again after the 'talks,' however, has led people to believe the video was made in response.

Although this is not the case, people have responded to the video very negatively. You can see below an example of the video being uploaded without any clarification.

Three-Year-Old Video Of Garth Brooks Asking For Ukraine Donations Goes Viral

The weirdest part is, this isn't even the first time this has happened. According to Whiskeyriff, the video also went viral again in 2023, a year after it was made. I must have missed that resurgence.

People took to the comments to share their outrage, which is another thing the internet can't get enough of. Many anti-Ukraine images populated the comments.

Many others also pointed out that Garth Brooks himself should send some of his own fortune over.

"Empty your bank accounts Garth & go over & fight. They will love extra fighters," wrote one.

"Sorry Garth. We're broke, but I'm sure all your friends in low places will be glad to help," another commented.

"Very disappointed in them....i would've never figured this was their stance. I will no longer support them," fumed one more.

Information is getting stripped of more and more context these days. Make sure to fact-check and double-check everything you read. It's incredibly easy to post misinformation online.
