Brantley Gilbert Embraces His Second Amendment Rights With Massive New Tattoo

Brantley Gilbert makes no secret of his support of the Second Amendment. Gilbert will kick off his headlining The Tattoos Tour on February 27, which is why he felt the need to get more ink, this one celebrating his right to bear arms.

"The one on my back was just kind of a statement so people would quit asking me, 'How do you feel about the Second Amendment?'" Gilbert reveals to his record label. "Look at my back. I think that may have polarized me a little bit too, you either love me or hate me now. But no, the Second Amendment is something that I do hold close to my heart, without saying a whole lot more about that. That's a little bit of expression back there, I guess."

Brantley Gilbert's Family

Gilbert just got a brand-new bus, this one outfitted to take his whole family on the road if he chooses. The country music hitmaker is a proud father of three, with his wife Amber giving birth to their third child, son Abram Howell Gilbert, while on his bus.

"We were four songs into our set and my tour manager came up and mouthed 'baby,'" Gilbert tells Entertainment Tonight. "And when he did, it was like, oh my gosh. We absolutely took off running."

"It's the craziest thing I've ever seen and [Amber is the] strongest woman I've ever known," he adds.

After the event unfolded, the sober singer took to Instagram to reflect on the unforgettable event.

"So last night might have been the craziest night of my life," Gilbert says on Instagram. "Watching such an amazing woman do such an amazing thing is something I'll never forget. Thank you to our road family for rallying around us, Brittany Thornton for helping us bring this little dude into the world, Tupelo, Mississippi for showing us mad love and support, and most of all... Amber Gilbert, for letting me love you and showing me EXACTLY how incredibly strong a woman can be. I love you."
