Paying homage to both Hank Williams Senior and Junior, Laura Bryna releases a rowdy new single, "Lil' Bit Of Jesus, Lil' Bit Of Hank."

WOC is proud to announce the release of "Lil' Bit Of Jesus, Lil' Bit Of Hank." The song celebrates both the crazy and the stable of life, and balancing them both.
As Bryna herself puts it, the song is about "holding onto your faith and your roots, but also cutting loose and having a good time." So, naturally, the song was inspired by Hank Williams. Both of them: the father, the son, and their shared spirit.
"I wanted to write something that feels real, fun, and a little wild, because that's what life is all about. It's like a Sunday morning after a Saturday night—both parts make you who you are," she wrote in a statement shared with WOC.
And it's true, the parts of you that are a little crazy are just as important as the part that regrets getting a little crazy.
You can listen to the track below, or on any other available streaming platform.
Laura Bryna Celebrates Both Hank Williams Jr And Senior
WOC asked Laura Bryna why she references Hank Williams in her song, and which one. It turned out she was celebrating them both.
"Hank Williams Sr. and Hank Williams Jr. have both played a huge role in inspiring me, not just as an artist, but in how I see country music as a whole," she shared.
Bryna expressed that while Senior had a "raw, heartfelt way of telling a story that just cuts right to the soul," his son "brought this wild, outlaw energy that made country music feel larger than life."
"I've always loved that contrast—the classic, emotional storytelling of Hank Sr. mixed with the 'live life loud' attitude of Hank Jr," and that's exactly what she wanted to capture in her song.
This song pays a brilliant tribute to both Hank Williamses, and the general dichotomy in life.
Bryna also shared with us that her and her team "celebrated in true country fashion—with a round of Casamigos Tequila, because, of course, this song calls for a proper toast!" No, this isn't important information, but couldn't not share that tidbit.
