In a skit posted to TikTok, Shaq shares the rare encounter. He is spotted arguing and talking down to someone shorter than him, only to turn around and bump into Olivier Rioux, who's 7' 9". For reference, that's 8 inches taller than Shaq. The Lakers legend turns around to the camera in shock.
Humorously, the video is captioned "Pick on someone your own size."
It's so strange to see Shaq dwarfed by someone else, and even stranger to see someone's who almost 8 feet tall.

The giant Gators player achieved a spot in the Guinness World Records for being the tallest teenager when he was 15. At the time, he was 7' 5", which is somehow shorter than he is now. Incredible.
It's unknown why, when, and how O'Neil and Rioux met, but of course Shaq made a skit out of it instead of a sincere video. His TikTok is mostly full of the big friendly giant goofing around.

Naturally, this video went viral as people lost their minds over the size comparison. If he dwarves Shaq, I can only wonder how he compares to the rest of us. People took to the comments to share their thoughts.
"It's hard to get perspective of just how tall that dude is over Shaiq. The fact that we know Shaq is unbelievably tall, to see someone tower over him is unreal," states someone.
"That guy is 7'16," another jokes.
"Shaq needs to be at the comedy show, he is always hilarious," compliments another, and I have to agree.
Many also commented that just because Rioux is taller than Shaq, doesn't mean he's a better player.
