The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star visited SiriusXM's Jeff Lewis Live on January 3. There, she discussed a range of subjects, including how she ruptured her implants.
Special Forces: World's Toughest Test is a grueling militaristic challenge show that features celebrities, based on the UK's SAS: Who Dares Wins. Denise Richards will appear in Season 3 that's airing this year. Filming wrapped up in 2024, and considering the challenges and what happened, it's no wonder she suffered ruptured implants.
"I fell, well, I jumped off a bridge," she explained, "and that's when I ruptured my implants off of that thing." Yikes.
Apparently, the harness she was wearing for the challenge caused the damage. Both implants were ruptured. Despite the cause being attributed to the harness, Richards will be paying full price for the repair surgery.
"I think we pretty much signed our life away doing that show... It's dangerous," she commented.
Denise Richards Still Has Yet To Fix Her Ruptured Implants
Incredibly, her implants are still damaged.
"I was supposed to a month ago, but couldn't because we were filming," she explained. "So, yeah, no, I still have to get them redone."
Having to finish filming despite suffering from ruptured implants is really something. It goes to show the programme doesn't go easy on the contestants.
Although it's generally accepted that ruptured implants are 'safe' and cause no adverse health effects, it's still recommended to get them removed swiftly. Richards must not be experiencing any pain or irritation considering how long they've been left for.
Richards doesn't say when she'll get them redone, so it's clear she's not too fussed about the ordeal. It will surely provide a shocking moment in the show, however, so viewers will have something interesting to look forward to.
Also, considering she was still filming even after the rupture, we could expect Richards to pass the show. Not being medically withdrawn right away and continuing to film shows some sort of mettle in her.
