John Capodice has sadly passed away at age 83. The actor endured himself to fans, starring in films like Ace Ventura and making guest spots on shows like Seinfeld.

But arguably, Capodice's greatest accomplishments occurred off-screen. He was a "devoted husband, father and grandfather," according to the New Jersey's Pizzi Funeral Home website.
Capodice made a memorable turn in the Jim Carrey-led film as a detective doubting Ace Ventura's crime solving abilities. Meanwhile, he also appeared in an episode of Seinfeld, titled "The Revenge" as Vic, the laundromat owner.
Capodice appeared on the soap opera General Hospital from 1994 to 1996. He also had roles in Independence Day, CSI, Law & Order, Wall Street, and The West Wing. The actor may not have been the star, but he endured himself to his fans. He was also a loving father and husband.

Cherished father of Tessa De Pierro and her husband Joseph and Cassandra Hansen and her husband Dave. Proud grandfather of David, Jake, Frankie and Giuliana. Dear brother of Kathy Magluilo and Patti Lindsay.
John was a US Army Veteran from 1964 to 1966 serving in Korea. John appeared on stage, television and in many films. He was an accomplished actor known for his appearances in Ace Ventura, Wall Street, Seinfeld, Ellen to name just a few. He was also a proud member of the Blauvelt Sons of Italy Rockland Lodge 2176.
John was a devoted husband, father and grandfather and will be missed by all who had the pleasure to meet him."
Meanwhile, fans also mourned his loss taking to social media.
One fan wrote on X, "Rest in Peace, John Capodice. @GeneralHospital fans will remember him as Lois' dad, Carmine Cerullo, but I'll remember the years when he lived near me, doted on his grandchildren, and loved to eat out at local restaurants."
A second fan wrote, "He's just a great guy! ? RIP," while a third simply added, "RIP John Capodice."
