NFL Viewers Bummed Beyoncè Didn't Have Surprise Destiny's Child Reunion

Beyoncè was set to perform at Netflix's halftime show at the NRG Stadium on Christmas, although, for a split second, fans thought it would be a Destiny's Child reunion.

The superstar sang songs from her Cowboy Carter album in a performance many loved and were waiting for. However, one moment led many to believe this performance would suddenly turn into a Destiny's Child reunion.

Upon singing "Blackbird," Beyoncè was accompanied by four other women. Tanner Adell, Tiera Kennedy, Reyna Roberts, and Brittney Spencer stood by the singer's side to belt out a brilliant performance. However, fans initially mistook the other singers as Destiny's Child.

Destiny's Child initially involved Beyoncè, Kelly Rowland, LaTavia Roberson, and LeToya Luckett, although Roberson and Luckett later dropped out and were replaced with Michelle Williams. A surprise reunion of the legendary girl band would have blown people's minds.

Alas, it wasn't to be, but that split-second of sudden hope came with a crushing realization that it wasn't actually happening. To vent their frustrations, fans took to X.

Fans Disappointed After Destiny's Child Turned Out To Be Other Singers

Fans threw their upset to the internet, because where else is it supposed to go?

"Get this country a-- s--t off my screen we all want destiny's child beyoncé," one disgruntled fan wrote.

"I thought those random girls who popped up next to Beyonce were Destiny's Child at first. At least this performance would've been a little more tolerable then," another wrote.

"I wish Beyonce would've brought out destiny's child," one viewer resigned.

Although Destiny's Child never hit the stage, Beyoncè's Child did, Blue Ivy. The 12-year-old briefly joined her mom and danced with the backup dancers.

Many enjoyed the halftime performance, with or without Destiny's Child.

"Me liking every tweet that's praising Beyoncé half time performance," one praises.

"Beyonce makes 95% of the industry look mediocre when it comes to performances and stage presence, this is INSANE man," another compliments.

"Beyoncé Bowl was perfect thank you nfl I'm turning off this game now," another half-joked.

Whether she's with Destiny's Child or not, it seems the fans love her.
