Sources, witnesses, and Foxx's spokesperson have told TMZ all about the incident.

On Friday, December 13, Jamie Foxx was celebrating his birthday with his family. Present were his two daughters Corinne, 30, and Anelise, 16, as well as his ex, Kristin Grannis. They decided to eat together at the popular Mr. Chow restaurant in Beverly Hills.

Unfortunately, their dinner was interrupted by other rude and violent patrons of the restaurant.

Foxx's spokesperson told the outlet that, "Jamie Foxx was at his birthday dinner when someone from another table threw a glass that hit him in the mouth. He had to get stitches and is recovering. The police were called and the matter is now in law enforcement's hands."

A witness to the event added to the report, saying that the customers were being "vulgar and rude" to Foxx. He had allegedly asked them to stop the harassment as his family was with him. To that, they threw the glass at him.

It's unknown exactly what the customers were saying him before, and how long they were harassing him and his family for.

The police were called to the restaurant around 10 pm. Jamie Foxx wasn't at the restaurant when the police arrived.

Jamie Foxx Hit With Glass And Left Needing Stitches

Although the spokesperson confirmed that Foxx has received treatment and is recovering, it's unclear exactly what state Foxx is in currently.

The status of the investigation is also currently unknown. As Jamie Foxx allegedly left the restaurant, likely to receive medical attention, it's likely his attackers did, too. Whether they're being apprehended or are in custody is unknown.

This news is especially disappointing and sad after learning about Jamie Foxx's recent stroke and brain bleed. Last year, the actor was hospitalized, and he revealed the harrowing story in his Netflix special "What Happened Was..."

After nearly dying and suffering a stroke of that degree, to be struck in the head with a glass is the last thing you need. It's a disgrace that someone would throw a glass at another in the first place. I hope he recovers swiftly.
