Being a country girl from the South isn't peaches n' cream - unless of course you picked the peaches and milked the cow.
Knowing how to pull yourself up by the bootstraps is something that is engrained in all country girls. We learn at a young age that good things come to those who work hard. And, yes, country girls know that playing hard is just as important, so long as there is some time in between for a little praise.
What makes southern girls so strong? It's in our jeans or maybe our genes- it's who we are.

1. We stand by our friends - through thick and thin.
We not only stand by our man, but we stand by our friends also. When times get tough, you can count on true Southern friends to pick you up or be there for you - no training necessary.
2. You can look just as good in camo as you can in pink.
It's is not about what you wear, it's how you wear it. Confidence says a lot about who we are as women, and Southern girls know that you can wear camo, pink or any color with conviction.
3. We know how to grow our own food - even if we don't.
There is something special about growing, canning and freezing food that is grown or raised on your spread. If you don't have the space don't worry, you can exercise your abilities by shopping local farm stands. Most communities have some type of farmers' market.
4. We know the perfect man exists - we want him around but don't need him.
Let's not get carried away; marriage is sacred. But, having the assurance to live alone to wait for the perfect person takes a special kind of strength.
5. Weekends are made for outdoors.
Who needs the mall? Not this Southern girl. Weekends are made for spending time outside. Whether you are grilling up something on the pit, relaxing on your back porch or working in the garden or on the ranch, you know that God painted the landscape for your enjoyment.
6. We can get to town in a BMW or an ATV.
There is no stopping a country girl. You love a touch of class, but know that if you need a backup there is usually an ATV or tractor somewhere nearby, and you aren't afraid to hop on and crank it up.
7. We are practical and creative.
Being able to turn your spare tire into a swing is one of the best parts of having a back yard. Being from the South, you know which tools to pick up and just how to use them. Your own tool kit should include at least a hammer, screwdrivers (ratcheting or electric), pliers, a utility knife, tape measure, duct tape, WD-40 and a level.
8. We know that there is a perfect pair of boots for any occasion.
Never judge a girl by her boots. Just sayin'.
9. We know how to make the best margarita around.
Let's face it, you've worked hard all week and the weekend has arrived. Whether you like them frozen or on the rocks, you can rest assured knowing that country girls can make one mean margarita.
