8-Year-Old Cancer Survivor Claims Bills Fan Intentionally Pushed Her Down The Stairs

Mia DeCamilla, a young cancer survivor, was shoved by a Bills fan during the game against the 49ers on the weekend. She wasn't hurt but was pushed off her seat and left the NFL game early.

Cancer is a dreadful disease, and Mia has bravely beaten liver cancer twice after relapsing earlier this year. She lives in Rochester but became a San Francisco 49ers fan, as that's the team her dad supports.

Mia picked a freezing weekend for her first live match. She also proudly brought along a sign that reads, "I beat cancer! My first NFL Game." Sadly, celebrations ended abruptly as the family reports that a Bills fan shoved Mia down some stairs.

Her father, Mike DeCamilla, spoke to WIVB about Mia's unfortunate incident. Sadly, Mia has said, "She won't be back at Highmark any time soon."

The Bills Fan Was Likely Drunk

According to Mike, the Bills fan was drunk and said, "I'm going to push through all these Niner fans." "So, he actually bumped me and my son a little bit and then got past me and pushed her, almost slid off the stairs and hit her like side on the chairs."

Mike continued, "The guy purposely walked through and was pushing people. I get that it's busy and hectic, but he had to be six-foot.

"She is less than 100 lbs," he added. Mia understandably felt shaken up by the incident, prompting the family to pack up and leave before the game ended.

The story has drawn ire on social media. It's easy to tar everyone with the same brush in situations like this, and many are calling for Bills fans to "do better." Others say the incident doesn't reflect the Bills Mafia or the fanbase as a whole.

Since the incident, Mia and Mike have said that they hope what happened raises awareness of what some kids are going through.

At the time of writing, a GoFundMe page to support Mia has raised almost $40,000. If you're curious about Mia's condition, it's described in great detail in the fundraiser description.
