The show, attended by 25,000 people, took place at Lake Eola in Orlando. The sky was lit up by hundreds of flying drones, performing exciting tricks, and creating Christmas-themed patterns. However, something went wrong with their programming, and a number of them collided in the tight formation.
The falling drones pelted the Christmas crowd, with footage showing them flying off in all directions. Adriana Edgerton's 7-year-old son was allegedly hit in the chest by a drone. He was rushed to hospital where he was admitted to the ICU for emergency care.
His mother quickly took to social media to share her side of the story. Her son was gravely damaged by the falling Christmas drone. "Everyone's natural instinct was to duck and scatter, and before we realized it, my daughter found my son on the floor unconscious," she told WESH. "He had blood coming out of his face."
