Country fans have recently banded together to discuss the artists they believe are as good live as they are on record, which isn't something that can be said for every artist.

Sometimes, the studio environment and special effects can leave an artist sounding different live to their recorded tracks. Country music is all about authenticity, however, so for the most part, this doesn't apply. In a recent Reddit thread, fans gathered to discuss which artists are brilliant on stage and in the studio.
Many artists were thrown in for consideration, but some names popped up much, much more than others. There are some names you can probably expect to be on the list, but some may surprise you.
7 Country Artists That Are As Good Live As They Are Recorded
Here are the country artists that fans suggested the most. From the top down, they're ordered roughly in order of how suggested they were. So if you disagree with the ranking, then you disagree with country. Or, at least, with the slice of country fans who contributed to the post.
Chris Stapleton
Ol' Chris Stapleton had the most noise for sure. Although there was some contention over how exciting his shows are or aren't, ultimately, people agreed he sounded just as talented live as he does on any of his songs.
George Strait
Is this a surprise? George Strait was talked just only a little less than Stapleton, although everyone only had good things to say. His voice may be aging as he grows older, but as it stands now, he's still got it.
Sturgill Simpson
Sturgill Simpson is an anomalous name to have here. Because technically, he doesn't sound as good as he does on record. But better. Country fans were raving over just how brilliant his concerts are.
Willie Nelson
As Shotgun Willie continues to throw out albums and perform live, I suppose it would be hard not to sound as good as he does live than on record.
Ronnie Dunn
Ronnie Dunn is also getting older, but he still kills it at his concerts. This may not be the case for much longer, however, as he appears to be struggling on stage.
Tyler Childers
Not too much to say here, some people simply unanimously agreed that he's as brilliant live as he in in the studio.
Alan Jackson
With his extensive history of live performances, I really don't need to justify his entry here.
So, if you want a quality concert, make sure to see one of these artists live. If you like their music, then it's a safe bet you'll enjoy them live.
Considering Alan Jackson is currently on his farewell tour, he may be a pretty tricky artist to catch live.
