6 New Songs We’re Listening to this Week

Here are six new country and Americana songs we have on heavy rotation this week.

Anderson East, "All on My Mind"

Americana crooner Anderson East has been on a steady rise since the release of his 2015 album Delilah. Now the singer is back with the sultry "All on My Mind." The soulful, bluesy number was co-written by pop singer Ed Sheeran. East's powerhouse voice shines on the track, co-produced by Dave Cobb.

Jade Jackson, "Finish Line"

Jade Jackson's smoky voice and alt-country lyrics are reminiscent of Kathleen Edwards and Lucinda Williams. But as evidenced on her recently released debut album Gilded, the California singer is in a category of her own. "Finish Line" is a pedal steel-driven song about lessons learned from heartache.

Lilly Hiatt, "Everything I Had"

Lilly Hiatt's third album, Trinity Lane, is out on Aug. 25 and the Nashville-based singer-songwriter is as honest and soul-baring as ever. The fiery "Everything I Had" is the angry country breakup song you've been waiting for.

Joshua Hedley and Erin Rae, "My Favorite Picture of You"

During last year's AmericanaFest, the folks behind the Luck Reunion and Third Man Records teamed up to bring musicians together in an East Nashville mansion to inspire collaboration. Luck Reunion and Third Man recently released the video of Joshua Hedley and Erin Rae's cover of Guy Clark's "My Favorite Picture of You," a starkly gorgeous take on the modern classic.

Porter Union, "Walked Away"

The husband and wife duo Porter Union have shared the stage with the likes of Cody Jinks and Whitey Morgan. On "Walked Away," the couple fittingly takes on the story of Johnny and June, paying tribute to June Carter for standing beside the Man in Black in his darkest moments.

Gwen Sebastian, "Cadillac"

Gwen Sebastian has been a frequent collaborator with Miranda Lambert, co-wroting three songs on Lambert's The Weight of These Wings. The latest Sebastian-Lambert collaboration is "Cadillac," a stunning song about finding peace on the open road.
