A 5-year-old has tragically died. The young girl passed away after falling from a playground last weekend. The incident happened at a home in Connecticut.

5-year-old Olivia Videtto died from the resulting injuries. She was a kindergartener at Harwinton Consolidated School. Videtto passed away after suffering injuries on a playground on May 32, according to WOWT.
According to the Connecticut State Police (CSP), the young girl suffered a head injury after experiencing a fall. Emergency responders tried to treat her injuries, airlifting her to Connecticut Children's Medical Center. They suspected she had "serious, but non-life-threatening injuries."
Sadly, she later passed away from her injuries. Exactly what happened remains a bit of a mystery. Police confirmed that they are currently investigating the tragedy. However, so far, they have found nothing criminal or anything to suggest it wasn't an accident.

"There are no words that can adequately express the sorrow felt by our community," Michael R. Criss, First Selectman of the Town of Harwinton, said in a statement, WOWT reported. "Her loss is being felt deeply by her family, friends, classmates, teachers, and all who had the privilege of knowing her."
"On behalf of the Town of Harwinton, we extend our deepest and most heartfelt condolences to her family during this unimaginable time. We also keep her classmates, school staff, and the entire Region 10 family in our thoughts and prayers as they navigate this profound loss together," the statement continued. "As a community, let us come together to support one another, hold our loved ones a little closer, and keep our beloved student and her family in our hearts."
Following the incident, Criss asked for privacy for the family of the young girl "during this very difficult time is much needed." No criminal charges or arrests have been filed. Exactly what happened remains unknown.
