“I Can Still Make Cheyenne” Live at The Astrodome
At the last event to take place at the Houston Astrodome, George Strait performed an extensive set of songs from throughout his career. The performances were turned into a live album, titled For the Last Time: Live From the Astrodome. Watch George Strait’s performance of “I Can Still Make Cheyenne,” his third single from his 1996 album, Blue Clear Sky.
“Troubadour” Live at the 2009 ACM Music Awards
In 2009, George Strait was honored at the Academy of Country Music Awards as the Artist of the Decade. A slew of country artists who honored him in song earlier that night joined him on stage while he performed his hit song, “Troubadour.” When watching the video, you’ll spot Taylor Swift, Faith Hill, Keith Urban and many more.
“Love Without End Amen” Live at the 1990 Country Music Awards
This is a classic video of Strait performing at the country awards in 1990. He sang his hit song, “Love Without Love Amen,” to a huge crowd and was introduced by the Judds.
“Fool Hearted Love” Live at Austin City Limits
This 1984 performance reminds us what true country music is all about. At the Austin City Limits music festival, Strait sang “Fool Hearted Love” to a packed house with his band. It doesn’t get much better than this.
“Give It Away” Live at The 2006 Country Music Awards
This was the year that George Strait was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame (a well-deserved honor). After being introduced by Kris Kristofferson, Strait sings one of his all time best hits, “Give It Away” to an excited audience.
