5 people have been arrested by the FBI after they allegedly plotted to attack the White House during its UFC Freedom 250 event.
According to the New York Post, the horrifying attack allegedly featured high-powered explosives, drones, and several phases designed to cause as much carnage as possible.
FBI officials laid out the alleged gruesome plans of the group, who were apprehended before the event had began. The first phase allegedly involved explosive drones.
These would hit buildings surrounding the White House, causing a mass panic. A crowd fleeing from the terror would be drawn into a sniper team. You can guess the next part from there.
And the "second wave" allegedly involved attackers directly storming the White House itself.

Authorities went on to reveal that they found a group chat on end-to-end encrypted messaging app Signal. There, there were at least 23 users who were engaging about the different aspects of the plot.
They also revealed some of the ideological reasons behind the attack. They discussed wanting to perform the attack to target "capitalist elites" and "billionaires."
The FBI Released a Statement About the Incident
The plot was found out by the FBI on around June 10. Several arrests were made, with the first happening in Cincinnati. Authorities later found out that other alleged suspects had travelled to Fredericksburg, Virginia.
Kash Patel, the FBI Director, released a statement about the incident. "Thanks to the rapid action of this FBI, our partners, and the Department of Justice in a multi-state operation, multiple individuals are now in custody and allegedly planned attacks were stopped cold," he wrote.
He went on to praise law enforcement for their coordination during the arrests. "While the result represented the best of investigative work, it was also nothing out of the ordinary for this law enforcement team - we are built to detect, respond to, and and bring to justice those who threaten the lives of American citizens - particularly during large gatherings like the historic UFC 250 fight."
We are very glad that no one was hurt. What a horrifying ordeal.
