Honestly, if I remove logic from the situation and just look at it with emotions, I can understand where this tiny tot is coming from. Nothing is more frustrating than when you are thinking about your favorite sweet treat all day and when you go to get it, it is gone. Having someone enjoy a treat that was meant for you can feel like a crime.
At least this 4-year-old thought the act constituted a crime. The NY Post shares that the young boy called the local authorities for his mother's unforgivable act. When he called 911 on his mom he said, "My mom is being bad." From there he began to plead "Come and get my mommy, come and get my mommy."
I am sure at first, police thought this was no laughing matter. After all, in the world we live into today, you never know what to expect. Also, the police have seen some truly bad things so I am sure their minds did not immediately jump to ice cream thief. Luckily, mom was there to clear up the drama.
She quickly grabbed the phone and explained her major offense to the officers. "I ate his ice cream," she confessed. "So that's probably why he's calling 911." Get her coppers! She confessed to the crime!
Adorable Sweet Surprise
Regardless of the mother's explanation, police still arrived to the scene to ensure everything was alright. During the time it took for officers to get to the scene, this adorable little boy had a change of heart. While he was still furious that his mother ate his ice cream, he no longer wished for her to go to jail over it.
Despite the evidence and a solid confession, the police decided to let the woman off the hook with a "chilling" warning (sorry I had to). However, they did not forget about the adorable little boy who called 911 on his mom. In fact, the following day they decided to surprise him. They returned to his home with two cups of delicious ice cream complete with blue sprinkles. I am sure his mom will think twice before eating this little boy's ice cream again.
