35-Year-Old Man Arrested For Burning His 67-Year-Old Girlfriend With Scalding Microwaved Soup

I guess having a "toyboy" comes with its pros and its cons. Unfortunately for this woman, having a 35-year-old boyfriend turned out to be more trouble than its worth. After a year of being together, the 67-year-old woman began to suffer alleged abuse at the hands of her boyfriend. The final straw was when police arrested the boyfriend for burning his girlfriend with scalding hot soup.

Talk about a bizarre situation, and no I do not mean the age gap in the relationship. Having a younger partner happens all of the time. Granted usually the man is older, but hey these are new times and who I am to judge? Rather, I am suggesting that the scene in which a boyfriend is caught burning his girlfriend with scalding hot soup is odd.

There must have been something dramatic to have warranted that behavior right? Is there even a behavior that warrants that choice? Perhaps in the act of self-defense? Nevertheless, that was not the case with this couple. In fact, the reason for the burning was very petty.

When speaking to police about the incident, Alexander Alton McDavid admitted to burning his girlfriend with the soup. He told them that she had been "talking too much." Of course, because being chatty is punishable by third-degree burns...not! However that is the fate that his poor woman suffered.

The Daily Mail shares that the incident occurred on February 28. Apparently McDavid went into a fit of rage over his senior-girlfriend being too chatty. Rather than tell her to quiet down, he allegedly opted to strike down the bowl of scalding hot soup she had just removed from the microwave. The act resulted in the boiling liquid spilling across the woman's "right shoulder and forearm, inflicting third-degree burns."

How He Was Caught

Unfortunately for McDavid's girlfriend, she wasn't able to get help right away. With no car to flee and no phone to call, she was forced to suffer with her wounds for days. Then, a few days later she visited the Social Security Office, and it was there that she was able to stop police and report the incident.

Police took her statement and photographic evidence of the burns she suffered. Additionally, she admitted that this was not the first time that McDavid had been cruel to her. A year into their relationship he began physically abusing her. She admitted that in the past he had choked her, but that she never reported it to police.

After the report, police arrested McDavid for burning his girlfriend with scalding soup. The Daily Mail shares that he was "booked into McLennan County Jail with a $130,000 bond." Additionally, he is being hit with the following charges, "assault with bodily injury, continuous violence against family, and injury to an elderly person."
