What's more important, your mother's life or your internet connection? According to these teenagers, it's the latter. Three teen sisters from Texas have been charged for attempting to stab their mother to death simply for turning off the Wi-Fi.
According to ABC13, the girls, ages 14, 15, and 16, chased their 39-year-old mother outside with kitchen knives. This wild altercation occurred at their Houston home late Sunday, March 23. The reports also claim that one of the teens managed to hit their mother with a brick.
Three Teens Attempt To Stab Mother After She Shuts Off Wi-Fi
Meanwhile, the girls' grandmother attempted to stop them and protect the mother. This led one of the teens to knock her over, according to Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez. The sheriff detailed these events through a post thread on X.
"Overnight, @HCSOTexas deputies and detectives responded to a disturbance at the 3400 blk of Barkers Crossing Avenue," Gonzalez wrote. "The three siblings allegedly coordinated a plan to try and kill the mother.
"Because the mother turned-off the wi-fi, all three grabbed kitchen knives and chased her throughout the house and into the street, attempting to stab her." The sheriff also revealed that the mother fortunately didn't sustain any serious injuries. Despite one of her daughters striking her with a brick, she will be able to recover. The grandmother is also fine and wasn't injured after the fall.
"The three teens were arrested and charged with Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon," Gonzalez continued. "All three were booked in the Harris County Juvenile Detention Center."
Since this incident has just occurred, we don't yet know further details on the motive. Of course, we know it's because the mother shut off the internet. But something so trivial shouldn't have made all three teenagers turn into murderers.
There may be more to the story here, and perhaps there is a history of feuds between the mother and her children. We will provide updates as we receive more details on this bizarre case.
