Being approached by a wild animal is frightening. But when one stealthily sneaks into your home and bites your baby girl on the head, that is really horrifying. Unfortunately, that actually happened to Carly Clarkson's little baby, Josephine. The tyke is only three months old. Per SWNS, "Carly Clarkson had dozed off while feeding little Josephine only to be woken with a start by the animal sniffing her face - before noticing blood around her baby lying beside her."

The agitated, unnerved young mom screamed. Then she reportedly noticed that baby Josephine had four wounds on her head - and they were bleeding. To her, it "looked like a dog had bitten a football." Clarkson went into action mode. She hastily grabbed the child, chased the nasty critter "to the top of the stairs," and hurried to see that her other small girl, a one-year-old, was okay.
Carly Clarkson shared with the outlet, "Imagine waking up and your child's blood is next to you. It was absolutely horrifying." She had left the back door ajar, which unwittingly allowed the curious creature to enter their home in Watford, Hertfordshire, England.
The Fox Did Not Seriously Injure Little Josephine
Mercifully, the animal did not do any major damage to the child. Per the outlet, Carly Clarkson took her to Watford General Hospital on the night of August 20 to be checked out. The conclusion was that "there were no fractures to Josephine's skull or concerns around the baby's brain."
Clarkson theorized about the reason Josephine was not bitten in a more sensitive area, like the face. She thinks it was due to their physical posture at the time. She had fallen asleep while feeding the little girl.
"I Feel Absolutely Violated"
The ugly incident left the mom deeply shaken, understandably. Clarkson said, "I feel absolutely violated. I don't feel safe in my home with two young children. Clearly there is an issue of either the same fox or multiple foxes being fed or just really acclimatising and becoming comfortable with people."
Nevertheless, she is very relieved that her baby is alright. "I was very lucky that we came away with just needing some tetanus shots and some antibiotics. I would hate to find out that in a week or in a few weeks' time someone else isn't so lucky."
