What Products Are Under the Recall?

As reported by Paradethe Food and Drug Administration issued the recall on Sunday, Sep. 6. Made Fresh Salads, located in Bay Shore, New York, made the announcement after environmental sampling by the company and the FDA found that some parts of the company's production facility tested positive for the organism.

The company has stopped producing and distributing its products while the FDA investigates.

The affected products were distributed in 30-pound and 5-pound white plastic tubs and half-size aluminum pans in New York City. They were distributed to both retail stores and distributors. The containers feature either Made Fresh Salads or Northside on their labels. However, some of the affected products "may have been repackaged by retail locations in deli-style or other retail packaging."

Is Anyone Sick?

The salads under the recall have expiration dates between Sep. 3, 2026 and Sep. 18, 2026. The recall notice did not feature dates for the cream cheese. So far, no illness has been reported in connection with the affected products.

Those who purchased the affected product should return it to the store where they bought it for a refund. If you have questions, call Made Fresh at (718) 765-0082, Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Eastern Time.
