2020 CMT Music Awards: See the Full List of Winners

The CMT Music Awards aired on Wednesday, Oct. 21. The event, hosted by Kane Brown, Ashley McBryde and actor Sarah Hyland, featured wins for Carrie Underwood, who won Video of the Year and Female Video of the Year for "Drinking Alone," Luke Bryan, who won Male Video of the Year for "One Margarita" and Gabby Barrett, who won Breakthrough Video of the Year for "I Hope." The Breakthrough Video of the Year was presented to Barrett by Taylor Swift.

Performers included current stars Kane Brown and Ashley McBryde to legends Brooks & Dunn (teaming once again with Luke Combs) and Shania Twain. Expect just as much star power from presenters ranging from pop superstar Taylor Swift to country icon Tanya Tucker.

Additional performers included Ingrid Andress, Gabby Barrett, Mickey Guyton and past CMT Crossroads collaborators Kelsea Ballerini and Halsey.

The CMT Music Awards' adjustment to coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic limitations made it the first major U.S. awards show to reveal nominations via Instagram reels.

Selections ranging from veteran trio The Chicks (they're back on the ballot for the first time in 13 years) to 10 different acts with their first-ever nominations were announced on Sept. 23. Unexpected first-timers include Tucker.

The fan-voted awards were presented with a six-network simulcast across MTV, MTV2, Logo, Paramount Network, Pop TV and TV Land. Per a press release, the awards show, originally slated for June, "returns to celebrate music's biggest stars and brings Nashville's one-of-a-kind energy to music fans across the globe through epic outdoor performances in and around Music City."
