Last week, while attending the Arnold Sports Festival in Ohio, Judi Vance was admitted to the hospital due to a medical emergency. She later passed away, suffering from a fatal heart attack brought on by extreme dehydration.

Her health had been deteriorating prior to her death due to various substances she had been taking to improve her bodybuilding physique. The family and friends of Jodi Vance had stated their concerns in the months leading to her collapse.

Her coach, Justin Mihaly, said, "Recently, her health had become quite concerning, and now we know why." She had been taking diuretics, which are designed to increase urine production and reduce fluid retention. These put too much of a toll on the bodybuilder's health, resulting in her untimely death.

Jodi Vance Is A Stark Warning

Both the bodybuilding world and family and friends of Jodi Vance have been rocked by her sudden death. Her family has taken to Instagram to share their sorrow and issue a warning to others following the same path.

"This was sudden and unexpected. Please give her family time to process this loss in peace. If anyone takes anything from this, please put your heath first." It serves as a caution to others that their health needs to be taken care of.

Bodybuilding is incredibly taxing on the body, requiring people to be in peak physical form. When they take to the stage, body fat and water weight are often at dangerously low levels to expose maximum muscle tone. Doing this can lead to serious health problems.

For Jodi Vance, her bodybuilding journey became too much of an obsession. Her coach has spoken out about her training and how it ended up taking her life. "Many people who loved Jodi tried to get her to pull off the gas pedal a bit," he said. "Her work ethic was actually second to nobody. It was so hard getting her to pull back."

As with any kind of competition, sometimes it can become unhealthy. This, sadly, led Jodi Vance to lose her life.
