Mason Kramer, a Wisconsin teen, suffered serious injuries in a farm accident that damaged his legs and cost him a fourth of his blood. He needed more than 23 hours of surgery to live.

"As some of you may know, I was involved in a horrible and tragic farming accident on June 18th of 2026," Kramer wrote in a

Facebook post after the farm accident. "I lost about 25% of my [body's] blood which is a life threatening and even deadly amount to [lose]."

Farm Accident Almost Kills Teen

Emergency responders flew him to Froedtert Hospital for treatment. The teen had been working in a silo on the farm when he fell and his legs got caught under a silo unloader.

"I was really concerned for my legs. And, ultimately, my life because I lost so much blood. So, it was definitely a really scary thing," Kramer told WBAY. "I have made a recovery that some of the Doctors, Therapists, Surgeons and Nurses have never seen. have already walked 100 feet with assist on a walker and have transferred inside and out of a car, and went up stairs."

Fortunately, doctors were able to save both of the teen's legs.

"I made it out alive. I still have my legs and my feet. So, it's just a blessing how it turned out," he told WBAY. "The Flight for Life team and then all the doctors that did my surgeries, they're the reason why I still have my legs."

Kramer is thankful to be alive after the farm accident.

"The reason why I come on here to make this post is because all of the prayers, support and strength the community and everybody has offered," he wrote. "If it wasn't for EVERYBODYS prayers I wouldn't be here making this post. God Bless each and every one of you."

However, the teen has a long way to go as far as recovery and getting back on his feet. Our thoughts are with him.
