13-Year-Old Boy Dead After Tragically Crashing Car
The teenage boy veered into the opposite lane of Highway 33 when he collided with a 1995 Kenworth tractor-trailer, according to California Highway Patrol, via the Daily Mail. Immediately, flames erupted from the two vehicles crashing, and Chandler died at the scene. First responders pronounced him dead after they found him pinned to the $28,000 Honda.
Fortunately, the 24-year-old woman driving the truck was able to escape and avoid certain death after the crash. But we still don't have details on why this teenager was driving without a license and whose vehicle it was.
Chandler's friends and family have already flocked to
Facebook in mourning of the young boy. Zak Bassett shared a heartwarming message in memory of Chandler. "I love you lots Blaine!" He wrote. "You always were a joy to hang around! You will never be forgotten on the life's you touched to do better including mine! What a privilege it was to know you! I love you so much!"Bassett then requested for people to support Chandler's family. "I love you all so much and my prayers are out to everyone who was close to Blaine," he said.
A comment from Camil Munez must've come from someone who knew the boy well. "May you rest in peace blain," they wrote. "It was so great to have you here on earth on my bad days you would always make me laugh so thank you I will always remember you."
According to The Fresno Bee, Chandler was driving at an unknown speed. They also don't yet know if alcohol or drugs played a factor in the crash. As the investigation continues, we may get more details on where Chandler was heading.
Surely, by now, the police have gotten in contact with the family. I hope whoever was responsible for the vehicle is charged rightly for endangering the boy's life. This was a highly preventable accident that took the life of a young boy too soon.
