"I've been sitting her for the last 30 minutes with my phone on my lap trying to find the words," she wrote. "Kira was declared brain dead yesterday by three doctors. Her lungs also gave out."

The Figure Skater Prodigy's Parents Weren't Ready to Let Her Go
Angelique's statement continued in a pretty tragic way. "At this stage, as her parents, we are still trying to make sense of everything and we are not yet ready for the post with 'rest easy' or 'angel wings'. We, as her parents, will speak the words when the time is right, when her little body is no longer connected to machines, and when we have had a time of death."
The comments on the post express their condolences to the Meyer family following the tragic death of the figure skater. One comment reads, "We continue to pray for your family during this difficult time!", whilst another reads "Dearest Angelique Meyer I am so sorry.. I know this doesn't mean much at the moment.... I pray that Heavenly Father will hold you tight through it all... Thinking of you. Good luck."
What a tragic incident. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Kira's family.
