When 10-year-old Jaiden Huffman shared a video on YouTube of her belting out Maddie & Tae's hit song "Fly," she certainly didn't think it would land her on the stage at the 2015 Country Music Television Awards in Nashville, but it did.
Jayden, a resident of Kings Mountain, N.C., was born with a genetic condition called Ocular Albinism. She has faced more hurdles than most girls her age, but that has not stopped her from chasing her dream of being a country singer.
"They told me that I would never be able to drive a car or ride a bike or to see many things," Jaiden told Fox 46.
Well, her condition certainly won't stopping her from performing at the CMT awards next week.
"I got the invitation to sing in Nashville, I was like 'oh my God. I did not just get this invitation,'" she said with a smile.
Jaiden has long dreamed of being a professional country singer just like Carrie Underwood, and it looks like she's on the right path! Who knows, maybe she will get to meet her idol in Nashville. Watch the CMT Music Awards on June 10 at 8 PM to see Jaiden show the world what she's made of!
