10 Things to Expect from Carrie Underwood’s Storyteller Tour

Carrie Underwood will be hitting the road for the Storyteller – Stories In The Round tour on Jan. 30, so we’re taking a look at 10 things you can expect from Underwood’s fourth headlining tour.

10. Lots of Sparkle

What else could we expect? Underwood gave us a glimpse at her tour wardrobe on Instagram last week, and it involves some seriously shiny outfits and accessories. Writing “welcome to wardrobe” on the social media site, Underwood gave fans a sneak peek at her always fabulous stage costumes, which included serious sparkle and dazzling outfits in red, black and blue.

9. Pyrotechnics

Though the “Smoke Break” singer’s past tours haven’t exactly been small affairs, it looks like this could be Underwood’s brightest and biggest tour yet. The star showed off some pretty blinding pyrotechnics with band member Ed on Instagram, which is sure to leave fans speechless.

8. Duets

Not only will Underwood’s tour mates be warming up the crowd before she takes to the stage, but it sounds like they could be joining the star for a duet or two. Corbin recently teased to The Boot that Underwood recently texted him to suggest the two take to the stage together during Underwood’s set for what’s sure to be a show-stopping duet.

7. Star Power

While Underwood is, of course, the star of the Storyteller tour, she’s not without her fellow country stars. The “Heartbeat” singer will be hitting the road with two of country music’s most promising rising stars, “A Little More Country Than That” singer Easton Corbin and former The Voice contestants The Swon Brothers.

6. Value For Money

Standard tickets for Underwood’s latest tour ranged from $45-$75, but there’s no doubting that fans lucky enough to get their hands on tickets will be getting value for money. “I want people to feel like they get their money’s worth, because money is tight and there are not a lot of extra funds lying around,” Underwood once told The Orange Country Register of putting together her insanely popular shows. “If someone spent that money to come see us play, I just want them to feel like it was so totally worth it.”

5. Stories In The Round

As the name suggests, fans lucky enough to grab tickets for Underwood’s fourth headlining tour will be treated to a 360-degree view of the American Idol winner. Underwood announced last year that the Storyteller tour will be played in the round, with a huge centre stage being erected in the middle of every arena.

4. Serious Style

Underwood took to social media to share a sneak peek at her super stylish re-vamped tour gear on Jan. 20, which included this super stylish chain mic stand that’s sure to make the star stand out when she hits the stage.

3. Charity

Underwood announced on Jan. 28 that she’ll be teaming up with Carnival Cruise Line to raise money and awareness for Operation Homefront when she hits the road. That means 10 lucky military families will get private meet and greets at select shows, while Underwood will also be raising money at every show by donating profits from sales of very special dog tags to the good cause. The star also revealed last year that $1 from each U.S. ticket sold a will be donated to her C.A.T.S Foundation.

2. A Whole Lotta No. 1’s

Though Underwood hasn’t revealed the set list for her Storyteller tour, chances are there’s going to be more than a few #1s on the list. The country superstar celebrated “Smoke Break” becoming her 22nd No. 1 single back in November, which means fans are guaranteed to hear multiple chart toppers when Underwood hits the road.

1. Down-to-Earth Beauty

If you catch Underwood heading into the venue ahead of one of her shows, don’t expect to see a huge entourage following behind her, as the “Heartbeat” singer confessed to InStyle in 2014 that she always does her own hair and make-up when she hits the road. “I do my own hair and makeup when I’m touring, and that’s something I always loved,” she said.

Carrie Underwood’s Storyteller – Stories In The Round tour kicks off in Jacksonville, Fla. on Jan. 30.
