2. The Colonnade
Another stop on Diners, Drive-ins and Dives, The Colonnade is beloved for its down-home cooking, from its Prime Rib to Fried Catfish to Black & Blue Ribeye. When Fieri visited, his main goal was to try the Kangaroo Tenderloin, which didn't disappoint. Upon trying it, he said that the dish tasted like sirloin and had super tasty sauce. The Silver Skillet, which is famous for its amazing Southern breakfast. The Country Ham and Redeye Gravy is tender and flavorful, and it's hard to beat with a side of Cheese Grits or Applewood Smoked Bacon Biscuit. To add to the experience, the vintage decor brings customers right back to the '50's when it opened.
4. Buttermilk Kitchen
Buttermilk Kitchen was featured in Diners, Drive-ins and Dives for its mouthwatering, made-from-scratch dishes. When Guy Fieri heard that it has "the best biscuits in Atlanta," he had to give it a try. The General Muir is an upscale New York-style deli that serves tasty sandwiches and open-faced bagels. Customers love the amazingly moist but crispy chicken, the deli's flavorful gravy and its crispy fries. For dinner, try the Braised Short Rib or the Roast Chicken.
7. Fox Bros Bar-B-Q
Fox Bros Bar-B-Q brings Atlanta a taste of the Lone Star State, featuring Texas-inspired dishes like Chicken Fried Ribs, Mac and Cheese, Brisket and Slow roasted Ribs. Run by a pair of Texan brothers, this BBQ restaurant is a staple throughout the South and Southeast; no barbecue-lover should pass it by while in Atlanta.
