Zac Brown Band Announces Their SNL Debut

Country music will be front and center again on Saturday Night Live when the Zac Brown Band serves as the musical guest in March.

The Zac Brown Band has quite a busy schedule right now. They will be touring throughout the US and Australia during the next few months. Before they embark on this massive tour, they’ll head to New York for their debut performance on Saturday Night Live.

The band will be the musical guests on March 7, with Thor actor, Chris Hemsworth hosting. They will probably perform their latest single, “Homegrown.” Like many other music acts before them, they’ll likely play a part in a skit or too as well.

This is the second time this season country music has appeared on SNL. In January, country superstar and The Voice coach Blake Shelton served as both musical guest and host. Prior to this, a country music artist had not appeared on the popular comedy show since Lady Antebellum in 2011.

Zac Brown Band will join a prestigious group of country music artists who have appeared on SNL, including Anne Murray, Willie Nelson, Dolly Parton, and Tim McGraw.
