Yelp’s annual list of the Top Places to Eat is taken “very seriously” by the website that helps people find local businesses, services and, of course, restaurants. Yelp users weighed in and submitted “millions” of reviews that helped create this year’s list, which is a little different than the ones from the past. This year, most of the 100 have a five-star rating on Yelp but they offer a “no-frills type of dining experience, and yet Yelpers go nuts for them.”
Tony’s Italian Deli is one of the five-star restaurants, and they’ve been reviewed 232 times. The restaurant’s fans gush over their food in the reviews, telling others what sandwiches they should try. Tons of restaurant-goers are crazy over the meatball sub, olive salad and S. Stallone. That’s right, their sandwiches have clever names like the F. Sinatra, A. Pacino and the J. Travolta. I don’t know about you but I’m definitely ordering the L. DiCaprio.
One click through the photos from Tony’s Italian Deli and you’ll be drooling over their cannoli, tiramisu and eclairs. If this doesn’t entice you to visit the local eatery, the full menu just might.
Austin’s Boteco is the other Texas restaurant in the Top 20, but that’s not all on the list. A total of nine Texas spots made it. You’ll also find a deli in Florida, a California farmer’s market and a New York cafe in the Top 10.
