“Alice In Hulaland” is a track off their latest album, Django and Jimmie, which debuted on the top of the Billboard Country Albums chart last month.
In the video, the pair look as relaxed as ever as they pluck their acoustic guitars and share the story of a girl who is all about the “boys in the band”. With a track that describes one of the more scandalous parts of being a popular musician, it would have been easy to make a more blunt and explicit kind of video. Instead, the two country legends are simply shown telling Alice’s story between scenic shots of Hawaii. The vintage style of the video is reminiscent of old home movies that give you a private and intimate look into the character’s life.
