With over 1,000 performances over the course of 11 days, Summerfest in Milwaukee, Wisconsin has become one of the hottest music festivals in the midwest. Name a genre and Summerfest has it covered.
The 2016 lineup includes superstars like Paul McCartney, Willie Nelson, Blake Shelton, Chris Stapleton, Luke Bryan, Selena Gomez, Weezer, Kacey Musgraves, Jason DeRulo and more. This year’s festival runs from June 29th to July 3rd and then July 5th through July 10th.
Also among the list of this year’s scheduled performers is Barenaked Ladies, Nelly, The Fray, Death Cab for Cutie, Passion Pit and Blink 182. Country fans will be happy to see artists like Hunter Hayes, Dustin Lynch, Jana Kramer, Cam, Chase Rice, Brothers Osborne, Granger Smith, Phil Vassar, Kane Brown and Michael Ray making appearances as well. Aside from the killer lineup, the Summerfest price is most definitely right – weekday admission is only $13!
If you’re a seasoned concert goer, you know that it’s not all about the music, but rather an attendee’s entire festival experience as a whole. Summerfest understands this, which is why they’ve got every fried food under the sun available, plenty of beer tents, shopping spots and interactive exhibits to keep people entertained when they need a break from the bands (needing a break from live music? Is that even possible?).
If you’re not sold yet, get this: Summerfest goes down right on the Lake Michigan lakefront. The festival grounds span 75 acres and Milwaukee is also an easy road trip for music fans from neighboring states like Illinois and Iowa.
