One Texas teen had the most interesting (and delicious) homecoming date ever. Gracie Kempken, a ninth grader at Friendswood High School, posted a joking tweet that turned into an epic homecoming experience. After asking the beloved burger brand to take her to the dance, the company surprised her by doing just that. She even got a pretty amazing homecoming mum.

It all started on Oct. 5 when Gracie tweeted at the burger chain about going to homecoming with her.

The burger chain quickly replied and asked for the date of the dance. After Gracie responded, it was a done deal. I bet she thought they were joking.

Gracie got a huge surprise when she was called into the school’s main office days later. The Whataburger mascot, Whataguy, was there with her mum and even walked her through the halls.

“We are still totally blown away at what Cindy and the Whataburger team did for my girl based on an innocent tweet!” Gracie’s mother commented on Friendswood ISD’s Facebook page. “I don’t think Gracie has quit smiling yet and that precious mum is hanging in a place of honor on her wall! This company is amazing! Thank you!!!”

Whataburger has a history of getting into the local high school dance action. Earlier this year, they treated several Texas teens to an upscale prom experience at their restaurant. I think it’s safe to say Whataburger is the coolest fast food chain in the country.
