Last weekend, a mixture of country stars from across the genre came together to perform at the Southern Ground Music & Food Festival in Charleston, South Carolina. Included in the star-studded lineup were the award-winning group and festival founders Zac Brown Band, and the girl who follows her arrow at all times, Kacey Musgraves.
Zac Brown Band closed out the festival on both Saturday and Sunday nights, with sets that featured many collaborations with other artists on the bill. During the fest’s final set on Sunday night, Musgraves joined the Jekyll and Hyde musicians for a cover of Hank Williams‘ classic “Hey Good Lookin’.” during the band’s epic twenty-three song set.
Immediately after Musgraves sang the opening notes of the song, the crowd joined in on a massive singalong of the country classic. Before Musgraves left the stage, the audience erupted in applause for the cameo as the band members hugged her in gratitude for her accompaniment.
The Southern Ground Music & Food Festival prides itself on the unique experience it offers its attendees each year. Along with renowned country music talent, the festival provided gourmet concessions from local and world-renowned chefs. You can find out more about the festival here.
