Most of us are used to seeing Hank Williams Jr. as a rowdy honky-tonk hero, clad in sunglasses, bushy beard and cowboy hat. Back in his younger days, when he sported a more sleek and family-friendly image, Williams Jr. showed off one of his lesser-known musical talents.
In this clip, you’ll see Hank pluck out an impressive rendition of “Foggy Mountain Breakdown”, one of the most popular bluegrass songs in history. Many of Bocephus’ younger fans have never seen him play the instrument live, as he stopped working it into his live show years ago. It’s just one of the dozens of instruments that the 66-year-old country legend has mastered over the years.
