Vince Gill is making his most recent performance a family affair.
While serving as guest coach alongside wife Amy Grant at the National Hockey League All-Star Weekend festivities on Jan. 31, Gill also brought his 14-year-old daughter Corrina along for the ride for a very special performance of “The Star Spangled Banner” to open the big game.
Corrina was clearly nervous to be performing with her dad at the huge Nashville event, though Gill proudly looked on as his daughter beautifully performed the last verse of the anthem solo to much praise from the Tennessee crowd.
Prior to the big event, Gill joked to the Associated Press that he was “just going to keep [his] mouth shut and wear a bad jacket” when he takes to the ice.
“I don’t know the first thing about the game,” Gill continued, “I’m a novice when it comes to knowing what the game really is. I just love it as a fan, have been a sports fan for my whole life.”
