The Peterson Farm Bros is a group of three brothers known for their parody songs that shed light on the everyday lives of farmers. In their first parody video ever, the brothers put a country boy spin on LMFAO’s song, “Sexy and I Know It.” The funny video quickly became a smash hit, garnering millions of views in the first week online.
The trio is comprised of brothers Greg, 25, Nathan, 22, and Kendal, 19. They all work on their family farm in Assaria, Kan. The Peterson Bros started creating their fun videos for one simple reason: to educate people about farming. The videos serve as lessons about agriculture, the farmer’s lifestyle and where people’s food comes from. Each video is educational and wrapped in an entertaining and musical package.
This is their first video that transformed them internet stars.
“I’m Farming and I Grow It” racked up five million views on YouTube in its first week. Since then, the video has been viewed nearly 10 million times!
“It was our first parody music video that we ever produced. I came up with the idea in 2012 hoping to make a video about farming that my friends in the city would want to watch,” Greg Peterson, said. “It went viral as soon as we posted it, getting 5 million views in a week. It was filmed mainly with cell phones and posted only to our personal social media sites.”
The boys have since created more successful and fun farming parody videos, and they show no sign of stopping either. Check out their Fresh Prince theme song parody in which they hilariously yell, “Yo steers, smell ya’ later.” Then, give their “Watch Me” (Nae Nae) parody video a watch if you need a good laugh.
