Shelby Brown Wows With Linda Ronstadt Classic ‘You’re No Good’ on ‘The Voice’

The Voice contestant Shelby Brown blew away the judges with her version of Linda Ronstadt’s classic track “You’re No Good”.

The talented 17-year-old from Alabama is a member of Team Adam, but her genre-bending rendition of the Ronstadt track during the first night of the Live Playoffs on Nov. 9 impressed all four judges.

“That was really good, and it pisses me off, Shelby,” said celebrity judge Blake Shelton, who Brown passed on as her judge during her blind audition. “Your voice is like if Trisha Yearwood’s voice and Carrie Underwood’s voice could have a voice together.”

R&B heavyweight and fellow judge Pharrell also agreed with Shelton, praising Brown’s incredible vocal control and artistry. “I think this was one of your best performances yet,” he told Brown.

In a season where many of the pure country acts have been eliminated, Brown seems like one of the contestants most likely to make it to the final round of the competition.
