Zac Brown Band is the latest country act to create an epic video trilogy to help tell the stories of their songs from Jekyll + Hyde.
Following in the footsteps of Dierks Bentley, who just finished up a video series that used tracks from his new album Black to tell the story of a scandalous love triangle, Zac Brown Band dark and emotional imagery to tell the story of a girl fighting to find clarity while trying to escape an alcoholic mother.
The entire trilogy, which will also feature the songs “I’ll Be Your Man (Song for a Daughter)” and “Tomorrow Never Comes,” was written and directed by Diego Pernía.
“It really blew my mind. I’ve never been so engaged, looking at something,” Brown said in a press release of Pernía’s work. “You spend any time with Diego, you realize how spiritual he is, how connected to emotion and what he does with pulling out humanity and nature in his work.”
The next installment of the trilogy will be released on June 17. Currently, Zac Brown Band is out on the road with their Black Out The Sun tour, which also features support from Drake White & The Big Fire.
