Texas country artist Kyle Park’s new single is a catchy throwback all about karma.
In the video, Park struggles to deal with his uncaring partner who seems more interested in pampering herself than keeping a happy relationship. After she angrily breaks up with him, Park comes out on top by finding the right woman and leaving his ex without his money or attention. The video plays out the story in a visually cute and clever way.
“What Goes Around Comes Around” is featured on Park’s upcoming album, The Blue Roof Sessions, set for release in September. The album was self-produced in his home outside Austin, Texas and has a stripped-down, old school country type of feel.
“The idea was to use the feeling of being in a house to go for an open feeling, something really big, with the drums very prevalent in the mix,” Park explained in a press release. “It wasn’t about making a rockin’ album as much as making an album where the music comes.”
Park began playing country music at the age of 15 and has landed on the Texas Music Chart consistently over the past few years. He’s opened for many big names in country including George Strait, Gary Allan and Eli Young Band.
