A recent YouTube video about Koreans trying American barbecue further proves the international appeal of the great smoked meat tradition.
Koreans are no strangers to cooking great meat, either— a nice beef bulgogi cut paired with some lettuce, paste, spices and rice cooked over an open stove at your table is nothing short of heaven. But a lot of Koreans have never experienced a slow cooked brisket. A crew of videographers with Digitalsoju TV wanted to see what would happen if a group of Koreans tried barbecue for the first time.
In the video, a handful of Korean girls try American-style barbecue, including brisket, ribs and pulled pork from Manimal Smoke House, the best barbecue restaurant in Seoul. The results were fascinating.
