Justin Moore just released a brand new music video for his single “Kinda Don’t Care.” The Arkansas native also recently announced his fourth album, Kinda Don’t Care, drops Aug. 12.
The video sticks to the tried-and-true method of capturing Moore on the road. The entire video features slow-motion live performance footage and crowd shots.
As for the tune, it’s a plodding mid-tempo romp laced with plenty of country twang and lap steel guitar. The verses capture a feeling we’ve all had. “I’ve been watching my weight/I’ve been trying to do right/I’ve been trying to get a little more sleep at night,” sings Moore.
But, as the track title suggests, those feelings don’t make it all the way through the tune. The chorus hits a familiar refrain of drinking, smoking and emotionless sex. Melodically, the song carries an obvious George Strait influence. The chorus melody borrows generously from Strait’s mega-hit, “Troubadour.”
Moore hopes the new track will follow up the success of the album’s first single, “You Look Like I Need A Drink,” which peaked at No. 11 on Billboard‘s Country Airplay Chart. Not to mention the success of his last two releases. Both went to No. 1.
Justin Moore brought out the big guns for the new release. The album is filled with tunes by Nashville’s heavy-hitters. Of course, Moore says this is his most thoughtful album yet. His strong fan base is sure to help him make it a success.
