In his cheeky new video, Jake Owen celebrates the fun moments of everyday life.
The infectious ode to small town life is complemented with snippets from hilarious “real life” situations. Whether he’s hanging at a convenience store, chilling out on his tailgate or shakin’ it down at the local Waffle House, Owen knows how to have a good time wherever he is. His faux-director tries to guide the video in a more conventional direction, with a classy dinner scene and aggressive calls for “more butts”, an obvious nod to some of the more risqué and ridiculous cliches that pop up in many mainstream country videos.
According to The Boot, Owen recruited his own mother, his twin brother Jerrod and various friends from his hometown of Vero Beach, Fla. to act in the video. NASCAR racer Kevin Harvick even joins in on the fun with some celebratory champagne shaking in the back of a truck.
Jake Owen’s new album, which will include “Real Life”, is planned for release by the end of 2015. Owen will also be joining Chase Rice as opening acts for Kenny Chesney on dates throughout his Big Revival Tour this summer.
