Chris Young has been enjoying some success on the country charts with his latest single, “I’m Comin’ Over,” in the past few weeks. On Sept. 30, he kicked celebrations into high gear with a memorable performance at Nashville’s Ascend Amphitheater. Along with strong opening sets from Cam and Jerrod Niemann, Young had another special guest for his 5,000 lucky fans in attendance. Brad Paisley emerged onto the stage, much to the delight of surprised concertgoers, for a cover of Eric Clapton’s classic track, “Change the World.”
The two buds seem to have a great time as they share excited smiles with each other throughout the performance. Young’s silky vocals seem to glide alongside Paisley’s impressive guitar riffs in perfect harmony. The two performers, who previously toured together in 2013, clearly loved every second of performing with one another. “This is the greatest guy in the world right here,” Young said after the performance, pointing to a humble Paisley.
Young will continue his headlining tour through the remainder of 2015, with Clare Dunn and Eric Paslay jumping on board as support for the latter half of tour dates. You can find a full list of upcoming performances at Young’s website.
